Today is day 13. I’ve been in Kamloops for the past 7 days providing Athletic Therapy for the Kamloops and Provincial fire centres. I head home tomorrow 🙂

A bunch of us BCWS crew took off work a little early today to go for a bike ride… oh man was it ever a bike ride - my longest in a while! The scenery was AMAZING. Felt like every turn was a different view or different shrub or grassland. Very kEwL 😎

Loving being in Quesnel, that means on my breaks I can go riding! A nice reprieve to be in the forest away from the heat and smoke. And a nice little way to wind down between my AM and PM shifts of treating firefighters!

Wonderland trails are amazing. I will be back to explore more for sure! You can check out my rides on my Strava 😂 🦫

Back at it again, this time: in a makeshift area behind the maps in the Ops tent! 😂

This is my first deployment in the Cariboo, my home zone! Can you believe it? All the deployments I’ve been on and I finally land one in Quesnel! It’s beautiful here and I can’t wait to take advantage of the amazing bike trails on my break over the next few days.

I just returned from Fort Nelson BC providing Athl

I just returned from Fort Nelson BC providing Athletic Therapy for all the hard working firefighters and staff at the wildfire camp there (12 hours north of WL!). This was the furthest north I have ever been!

It was extremely hot when I got there to the point where my AC didn’t really work. Then we got socked in with heavy smoke for about 8 days. Then, it got cool to the point where I needed a heater! 😂

Great times in camp, as always. Good laughs, old and new friends, and able to explore the super friendly town of Fort Nelson.

Here is my set up, the silver roof and walls are insulated walk for my treatment tent to keep to AC air (or heater heat) in! A nice safe-heaven for whoever is getting treatment.
